AcuGraph
- www.miridiatech.com
AcuGraph is a tool utilized to evaluate patient’s Acupuncture Meridians on a different level. AcuGraph makes acupuncture treatment more effective by providing evidence-based exam data and acupuncture point selection, AcuGraph® is like a lab test for acupuncture! It measures each meridian with AcuGraph’s computerized measurement probe, AcuGraph instantly provides complete graphical analysis and interpretation of the patient’s meridian energetics. This allows the Doctor to treat the most effective acupuncture points for the patient, based on AcuGraph’s intelligent analysis. It also allows the Doctor and Patient to compare the results experienced by your patients and tracked by subsequent AcuGraph examinations. AcuGraph is a safe, non-evasive, quick test that can be preformed during an office visit.

Biomeridian- www.biomeridian.com
Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) testing measures the energy at the meridian points, which directs the practitioner to probable areas of imbalance. This technology is used in various health care practices around the world. It gives practitioners more information to consider, while trying to bring their client's energetic disturbances back into balance.

This revolutionary profiling tool provides the practitioner with objective patient data which assists in determining what major systems and organs of the body are stressed or weakened, what homotoxicological phases are potentially in process, and what symptoms may be present within the identified phase. This information, including MSA-testing data, profiling information, phase determination, and patient symptoms is combined and analyzed to drive the practitioner to the optimal homeopathic protocol.

Bio-Reportorization is designed to deliver long-term benefits to patients by quickly identifying areas of potential concern, and then focus on supporting core functional health. Patient symptoms, although important, provide only one piece of the data used to determine the optimal protocol for patients. Bio-Reportorization's strength lies in its ability to combine multiple sources of patient information to assist the practitioner in identifying the optimal protocol.

Blood Analysis
- http://www.mrlkc.com
Dr. Lindsey Jaccard offers the ability to perform and process blood testing, or “blood work”, at a
very competitive price utilizing a lab close to her office.  A tremendous amount of information regarding your health is obtainable through blood testing.  After analysis is complete, you return the results to your physician and at that time he or she can extract pertinent information concerning your health.  Often, even though you may feel quite healthy, the way you feel is not be a valid indicator of your actual health.  Blood testing aims to allow your physician to intercept any potential problem before you become sick.  We are providing the service in a nearby location. Blood work also becomes a very useful tool. Many problems show up in the blood long before you are actually ill. Certain tests, when read properly, will indicate that you are progressing toward a serious illness, such as cancer, liver, heart or many other diseases. Regular testing can also help you prevent and treat conditions associated with hormone imbalance, fatigue, erectile dysfunction, memory impairment, bone loss, weight gain, and mood imbalance, enzyme deficiencies, nutritional deficiencies.

Very simply put, a Complete Nutritional Blood  Analysis will allow you to understand how healthy you are, what diseases or imbalances you may have, what problems are, or, may be beginning, and in what categories you
are nutritionally deficient.

HairAnalysis-www.arltma.com
Hair analysis is one testing method used by my office.  It certainly is the most effective
method for examining toxic levels of heavy metals in the body.  Hair analysis is often preferred as it is
painless, unlike blood extraction.

A hair tissue mineral analysis is a screening test that measures the mineral content of your hair.
However, a hair tissue mineral analysis is much more than a test for minerals.

Providing a mineral blueprint of one’s biochemistry, a hair tissue mineral analysis can provide
pertinent information about your metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate tolerance,
stage of stress, immune system and glandular activity.

A hair tissue mineral analysis is a screening test for the level of  20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair. It is a tissue mineral biopsy that is non-invasive, relatively inexpensive and extremely accurate. Not only can hair samples be used to determine nutritional needs, but they can also be used for drug testing as well.

A hair tissue mineral analysis is considered a standard test used around the world for the biological monitoring of trace elements and toxic metals in humans and animals species. The same technology is used for soil testing and testing of rock samples to detect mineral levels.  Hair, like all other body tissues, contains minerals that are deposited as the hair grows. Although the hair is dead, the minerals remain as the hair continues to grow out. A sample of hair cut close to the scalp provides information about the mineral activity in the hair that took place over the past three to four months,
depending on the rate of hair growth.

Test results are printed on an easy to read graph. This is an excellent tool for your doctor and it really will help you understand what is right and wrong when it comes to your health.  The printed graph includes the mineral results, major mineral ratios and the oxidation type.  It is a 15-20 page report that will contain information related to your metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate tolerance, immune system, autonomic balance, glandular activity and metabolic trends, a personal dietary supplement program, basic diet recommendations and other information that can be inferred from the test results.

Saliva Testing: Hormone Evaluation
- http://www.diagnostechs.com
There are several different methods employed to test hormone levels.  For numerous reasons, Dr. Jaccard has opted to solely perform hormone testing via saliva. The current standard for hormone level examination is a blood test. This test measures the amount of hormones that are protein bound in the blood. Biologically active hormones in the body are not protein bound. This raises the question: If blood tests only measure hormones that are protein bound and biologically active hormones are not protein bound - why are we still relying on blood tests to measure active hormone levels? Saliva hormone testing offers an accurate alternative to traditional blood tests and has been the standard of the World Health Organization for over five years.

Saliva testing is quicker, less expensive, and less painful than a blood examination.  It is a reliable way for you and your doctor to measure hormone levels and detect hormone deficiencies. Most saliva test kits require a minimum of two hormones be checked but also allow for additional hormones to be tested. An inquest for five hormones: progesterone, estradiol, DHEA, testosterone and coritsol, is optimum.

Timing of when to take a saliva sample for testing is crucial. For menstruating women, the test
needs to be performed in the luteal phase (the later half of the menstrual cycle). In a normal 28-day
menstrual cycle, this is usually about one week before the menstrual period, or days 19-21 of the
cycle, counting the first day of your menses as day #1 of the cycle. Men and post menopausal
women not taking hormones can take the test at any time during the month. Women taking
hormones should be tested towards the end of a hormone treatment cycle.  Saliva hormone testing
is able to record changes in hormone levels as quickly as they occur. For example: a saliva
hormone evaluation is able to detect changes to progesterone levels within hours of using
trans-dermal natural progesterone.

Thermography
- www.breastthermography.com
•    No prolonged sun exposure (especially sunburn) to the body areas being imaged 5 days prior to the exam.
•    No use of deodorants, lotions, creams, powders, or makeup (no facial makeup for full body or upper body scans) the day of the exam.
•    No shaving of the underarms the day of the exam.
•    No treatment (chiropractic, acupuncture, TENS, physical therapy, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, hot or cold pack use) or physical stimulation of the areas to be imaged for 24 hours before the exam.
•    No exercise 4 hours prior to the exam.
•    If bathing, it must be no closer than 1 hour before the exam.
•    If you are using pain medications, please avoid taking them for 4 hours prior to the examination. You must consult with the prescribing physician for his or her consent prior to any change in medication use such as this.
•    If you are scheduled for a breast thermo gram, the same protocols above applies along with no physical stimulation of the breasts for 24 hours before the exam, and if you are nursing please try to nurse as far from 1 hour prior to the exam as possible.

Please note: During the examination you will be disrobed from the waist up for breast exams during part of the examination for both imaging and to allow for the surface temperature of the body to achieve thermal equilibrium. In the event that you would feel uncomfortable being alone in the room with only the technician, please feel free to bring a friend with you.

Medical Infrared Imaging
Medical Infrared Imaging is also known as Thermography. Breast Thermography is the choice for any woman who desires a safe, painless and radiation-free procedure to screen for breast cancer

•    Thermography can see abnormalities in the breast tissue 5-10 years before any other method including mam¬mography. ultrasound or MRI
•    The accuracy of a thermogram (unlike a mammogram) will not be affected by fibrocystic breasts
•    Thermography screens breast im¬plants without compression or risk of injuring the implant
•    Important for women with mastec¬tomies to monitor their breast health and any post surgical changes
•    Thermography has the ability to find cancer cells at their earliest and most treatable stages
•    Thermography is an adjunctive tool to be used with your self exams, mammography and ultrasound.
•    Effective for breasts of all sizes
•    Thermography looks at the metabo¬lism (heat emission) of the breast. Normal images will be cool and indi¬cate a minimal risk of cancer. Abnor¬mal images will show more heat which means a higher possibility that cancer is present. Thermography identifies the changes which occur as a growing cancer alters the blood supply to the breast tissue. This is why thermography is a more sensi¬tive medical procedure for early de¬tection of breast cancer. It has a 95% sensitivity rate.

•    It has been determined that one out of eight women will get breast can¬cer. We must use every means possible to detect breast cancer.

•    SAVE YOUR LIFE THROUGH EARLY DETECTION!

THE EARLIEST BREAST CANCER DETECTION AVAILABLE!!!

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a test that could offer women true early detection, enough in
advance to prevent invasive tumor growth?

Breast thermography has the ability to warn women up to 10 years before any other procedure that
a cancer may be forming.

• AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN BREAST CANCER PREVENTION
Is there a hormone imbalance in your breasts?

Since the single greatest risk factor for the development of breast cancer is lifetime exposure to estrogen, normalizing the balance of the hormones in the breast may be the first and most significant step in prevention. Breast thermography is the only known non-invasive procedure that can detect estrogen dominance in the breasts. If a woman's thermographic images suggest a relative progesterone deficiency (estrogen dominance), treatment of this condition may play an important role in prevention. With treatment from her doctor, a woman can use this information to balance the hormones in her breasts. Follow-up thermograms are compared to the baseline estrogen dominant images as part of the treatment monitoring process.

SENSITIVE NON-INVASIVE SCREENING FOR YOUNGER WOMEN
Do you know that 23% of all breast cancers occur in women under 49?

This is the most common cancer in women in this age group. Breast cancers in younger women are usually more aggressive and have poorer survival rates. Breast thermography offers younger women a sensitive non-invasive (no radiation and painless) addition to their regular breast health check-ups beginning with baseline screening at age 20.

Unlike many after-the-fact imaging technologies in use, breast thermography has the ability to give
a warning signal in advance of invasive tumor growth. Combined with an unprecedented role in risk assessment, screening for younger women, and possibly prevention, breast thermography offers women information that no other procedure can provide. However, breast thermography is not a replacement for mammography or any other form of breast imaging. Breast thermography and mammography are complementary procedures, one test does not replace the other. Studies show
that the earliest detection is realized when a multiple testing approach to screening is taken. This multimodal approach includes breast self-examinations, physical breast exams by a doctor, mammography, and thermography.

Bringing Breast Cancer Detection Out of the Dark Ages

Breast Thermography is a diagnostic imaging procedure used for early detection of breast cancer.

The procedure is based on the principle that chemical and blood vessel activity in both pre-
cancerous tissue and the area developing breast cancer is higher than in a normal breast. Since pre-cancerous masses are highly metabolic tissues, they need an abundant supply of nutrients to maintain their growth. In order to do this, they increase circulation to their cells by sending out chemicals to keep existing blood vessels open, recruit dormant vessels, and create new ones (neoangiogenesis). This procedure results in an increase in regional surface temperatures of the breast.

State-of-the-art breast thermography uses and ultra-sensitive infrared medical camera combined with a sophisticated computer program. This system produces high-resolution diagnostic images of these temperature and vascular patterns of the breast. Our Certified Thermologist then analyzes these images.

The procedure is both comfortable and safe using no radiation or compression. By carefully examining changes in the temperature and blood vessels of the breasts, signs of possible cancer or pre-cancerous cell growth may be detected 5-10 years prior to being discovered by using any other procedure. Temperature variations 'and vascular changes may be amount the earliest signs of breast cancer and/or a pre-cancerous state of the breast.

Breast thermography's ability to detect a pre-cancerous state of the breast, or signs of cancer at an extremely early stage, lies in its unique capability of monitoring the temperature variations and blood vessel alterations produced by the earliest changes in tissue physiology (function).

Breast thermography has been researched for over 30 years, and over 800 peer reviewed breast thermography studies exist in the index-medicos.

Is Breast Thermography Safe?
Breast thermography is very safe. There is no exposure to radiation or any compression of the breast tissue.

How is Breast Thermography Different From a Mammogram?
Both tests are looking for completely different signs of breast cancer. Thermography looks for changes that occur as a growing cancer alters the blood supply of the breast and changes the physiology and chemical environment of the tissue of the breast. Mammograms look for changes to the density of the breast that indicates the presence of a tumor. Mammography identifies the physical. The medical literature views both procedures as complimentary to each other.

I have no family history and am not at high risk for breast cancer should I have a
Thermogram?
Although family history is considered to be a risk factor, most women who develop breast cancer have no history. A positive thermogram is considered the highest risk marker for the future development of cancer. It is 8 times more significant than a family history. Thermography can show if a man or woman may actually be at risk despite the lack of a family history of cancer.

I have a suspicious mammogram or felt a lump on my breast. Should I get a thermogram?
Absolutely the answer would be yes. The information provided from the thermogram can clarity the other findings ultimately helping your doctor make better decisions as the best way to manage the situation.

I have cancer and I am scheduled for surgery. What benefits is thermography this late in the Game?
Thermography performed before and after a surgery can help evaluate the success of the procedure. Additionally, once a woman develops breast cancer, she is a higher risk to develop it again. It is imperative to protect the healthy breast.

Does my insurance cover the Thermogram?
It depends on your insurance company.

The following are risks for breast cancers:
•       Women of all ages
•       Prolonged use of oral contraceptives
•       Synthetic hormone replacement
•       Family history of breast cancer
•       Obesity, sedentary lifestyle
•       Smoking
•       Consumption of refined sugars, artificial sugars, caffeine, and high fat diets

How can lower my risk?
•    Have a yearly thermogram
•    Discuss options with your doctor about alternatives to birth control pills and synthetic HRT
•    Maintain a healthy weight
•    Exercise
•    Limit alcohol consumption and caffeine, quit smoking, limit bad fats in your diet and refined
      sugars
•    Consume Omega-3 fatty acids
•    Consult with your doctor about natural supplements to reduce your risk

Medical research has shown thermography to be helpful in the following conditions:
•    Breast cancer
•    Skin cancer
•    Nervous system disorders
•    Metabolic disorders
•    Repetitive strain injuries
•    Headaches, neck and back problems
•    TMJ conditions
•    Pain syndromes
•    Arthritis
•    Vascular disorders
•    Soft tissue injuries among others

In summary there is a way to determine right now how healthy the breast tissue actually is. It is my hope that Doctors of all disciplines will start referring their patients to our office for thermography assessment. (Several Options are available for the Doctor)

Full Body

What is Infrared Full Body Scanning?

Infrared Full Body Scanning is a totally safe and painless imaging procedure that uses no radiation, injections, or other invasive procedures. Using technology developed by NASA and the aerospace sciences, Preventive Health Lab employs a sophisticated medical infrared camera and computer system to scan the surface of the body for infrared thermal (heat) abnormalities. Abnormal patterns of heat are produced when dysfunctional areas send nervous system signals to the surface of the body.

Infrared Full Body Scanning offers you information that may save your life!
•           Totally safe and painless – no radiation or intravenous access
•           Early detection of many different types of conditions
•           An important tool in prevention
•           Economical

What does Infrared Full Body Scanning have to offer?
Infrared imaging may provide you with an early warning system. Unlike other forms of imaging that detect structural changes such as a tumor, infrared imaging looks at the body’s subtle chemical and nervous system signals. These neurochemical signals may be sent far in advance of significant damage to the body. Infrared imaging has the ability to warn you of a possible health problem that may be years in advance of any symptoms. Other tests may say whether or not a tumor is present, but Preventive Health Lab offers a warning for many of the health problems that ruin our quality of
life. With this information in hand, you and your health care provider can outline a method for treating a current problem or possibly preventing future problems before they cause irreversible damage.

What is included in Infrared Full Body scanning?
After completing a thorough health history form, you will taken to a special imaging room. After a brief time of acclimation to the temperature of the room, your body images will be taken. The doctor may also perform a brief physical examination if it is indicated. The whole procedure takes about 1 hour and the results are available in about 2 weeks (immediate results can be provided as a consultation with the doctor for an additional fee). A written report is mailed directly to you with copies sent to your
health care provider if you wish. There is a additional fee for breast imaging.

What is the procedure like?
Once the paperwork is completed, you will be escorted to a specialized imaging room. There you will be asked to disrobe and a gown will be provided for you to wear. Since the imaging procedure is sensitive to heat, you will need to spend 15 minutes acclimating to the controlled temperature of the room before the images can be taken. As the images are taken you will be asked to remove the gown so that the specific body area under study is exposed to the infrared detector (ex. upper back). Many
sectional images will be taken in order to cover the majority of the surface of the body. During the procedure you will be directed to remove and replace the gown as needed in an effort to protect your modesty. However, certain areas will need to be exposed during the acclimation and/or imaging time if the area needs to be examined.

Who benefits from Infrared Full Body Scanning?
Everyone! Especially the health conscious person who is looking for an important tool to add to their regular preventive health care. By notifying you of a current problem, or possibly providing an early warning, infrared imaging has the ability to help you with health problems that rob you from enjoying life.

The key to maintaining your health is prevention. It is far easier to care for the first indications that something is wrong than to try and fix a problem that has caused significant damage.

Many patients are also confused with regard to their condition. For example, patients with chronic pain who have had treatment with little or no relief may have been treated for the wrong condition. Preventive Health Lab has helped many patients get to the cause of their condition so that proper treatment can be rendered.

The following list is just some of the conditions that infrared full body scanning can detect. In many cases, Preventive Health Lab can detect an early warning years before symptoms occur.
